Open source, ethics, and business

A meeting with the students of the DIT - Dipartimento di Informatica e Telecomunicazioni (Information and Telecommunications Department of the Università di Trento took place at the Course for university students taking up MSc Computer Science, focusing on "intellectual property and information technology".

The meeting illustrated to students how it was possible for Leader.IT to do business with the Open Source model, but at the same time, keeping the right balance between the requirements of profit and the standards of ethics, which are at the base of the adopted development models.

It was possible to demonstrate the various distribution methods of source codes adopted by Leader.IT with different Open Source or Commercial licences depending on the main recipient of the licenced software.
