Perl, Mason, & Inline::Java Presentation

Practical use of Inline::Java, j4sign, and Bouncy Castle Crypto APIs

On Friday, October 12, 2012, at 3:20 PM, an example of an Apache/Mason application will be presented for the verification of digital signatures and for timestamping.

The practical example was made using Perl, HTML::Mason, Apache, Inline::Java, j4sign, and Bouncy Castle.

Since 2011, in Italy, applications that implement digital signing mechanisms to legal values must support SHA 256 as well as the recent format for binding documents with timestamps (RFC 5544).

The project will show the use of Java Open Source classes of j4sign and Bouncy Castle from the Apache & mod_perl environments using Inline::Java to perform verifying the validity of digitally signed documents and digitally marked under the current Italian rules.
