Creating a new administrator

Only members of the Admins group are allowed to create GAS administrators (Gas_admins). The Admins permission is granted by the software developer when a new GAS is registered; this permission has full access to the programme as a system administrator. For the purposes of our documentation, we will discuss how to create a new GAS Administrator, who will then be responsible for managing all GAS affairs. GAS Administrators have slightly less privileges than a full Administrator permission, but it will have all the necessary permissions to perform all administrative tasks in running a GAS, such as adding users, managing orders and changing passwords.

1. First, go to Config --> Anagrafiche, which will bring up the member registration screen. This is where you create new members and assign roles with their corresponding privileges.

Take note that when creating the GAS administrator's password, you will have to use at least one capital letter and a number in order for you to save it. You may not use any part of the user's name as part of the password; you will be prevented from saving the password and prompted to follow the directions. The same is true for all users.

3. Assign the user to his or her specific role. On the lower part of the screen, drop-down menus of roles will appear (Gruppi); click Modifica, and assign the necessary roles belonging to the user. In this particular case, you will select Gas_admins, in order to reflect this user's role as the group's administrator. Gas_users is a general role for all members of a particular GAS. Click Salva to save your roles.

Take note that different roles will have different access permissions. A brief description of roles and their permissions are described in the following section.

Do the same procedure for the rest of the members and their respective roles.

The next step is to assign the respective members to their Zone di appartenenza. Certain members' role is to be the contact person or coordinator for a particular zone that they handle (Coordinatore or Consigliere). This means that they are in charge of handling orders for a particular zone. It is noted that in this part, the roles of Coordinatore and Consigliere are only organisative roles. Moreover, the zone does not have a single representative for all producers, but rather different representatives for each producer.

1. To start, first go to the menu GAS --> Zone di appartenenza. And then, click on Modifica or Nuovo to start creating their respective zones.
